1. Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor

✅ Best for: Luxury travelers who like amenities

Rates here start in the low $200 range per night, and at this rate, there is some value to be found. Guests will enjoy a full fitness center, reasonable food and bar prices onsite, and rooms close enough to the airport that rooms have views of BOS, as well as the city skyline and famous Boston Harbor.

The hotel’s restaurant, the Harborside Grill, is well-reviewed by guests for its large portions, great service, and fresh New England-themed fare.

Rooms here are modern, clean, and sleekly designed, but a bit small, which is understandable as an airport hotel with a great location. Ultimately, whether or not you should stay here depends upon the nightly rate you can secure, since the property is great in almost any way.

2. Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Logan Airport

✅ Best for: Families with early flights

With rates from the low $100s, the Embassy Suites by Hilton at Logan Airport offers more value for guests than the nearby Hyatt Regency. With a complimentary 24-hour shuttle service and a prime location near the airport, the Embassy Suites checks the box for convenience.

They also offer a complimentary breakfast for guests to take advantage of (if your flight isn’t first thing in the morning), as well as free evening snacks in the lobby, more of a rarity in Boston than in many other cities across the country.

Though there are some reports of questionable customer service and occasional airport noise, in our opinion, these are overstated.

The suites here feature defined living spaces and some even have kitchenette spaces for those not looking for external dining options. Further value is added with the free made-to-order breakfast options and an under half a mile trek to the airport.

3. Courtyard by Marriott Boston Logan Airport

✅ Best for: Tired travelers who just need to sleep

The Courtyard by Marriott, located just 1.6 miles from Logan, is a solid option for those tired travelers who just need a place to stay and sleep for a few hours.

Though we’re generally high on the Marriott brand, there is nothing spectacular that stands out here. The rooms have some wear and tear, while the shuttle reliability can at times be a little inconsistent. The entire hotel is very clean, however.

Still, this property is good enough to make our list, since you can literally go from the Courtyard lobby to the departure terminal in under five minutes.

And with the MBTA’s Blue Line within walking distance, you can be connected to the city if you have an afternoon to enjoy.

✅ 4. Holiday Inn Express Boston Logan Airport - Revere

Best for: Travelers who also want public transportation to downtown Boston

Located just two miles from Logan Airport, the Holiday Inn Express in Revere is a solid option for those who don’t want to foot the bill to stay at the Hyatt Regency or another hotel at a similar price point. It is cheaper, at least by Boston’s standards, with rooms starting around $170 per night. During more expensive times of year, however, rates of $200 are not uncommon.

Those with a morning or afternoon to explore will love the proximity to the MBTA’s Blue Line, which takes travelers directly into downtown Boston.

We also like how this property is a couple of miles from the airport, as it is close enough to be convenient before an early flight, but also far enough from the runways where constant jet noise is not a concern. Speaking of airport transportation, this Holiday Inn Express offers a complimentary shuttle between 5-11 am and 3-11 pm.

This property also offers a complimentary breakfast buffet (normal preprepared fare), in addition to wi-fi to help you stay connected before or after a long flight.

Ultimately, this property scores highly as a solid affordable BOS hotel due to a couple of extra amenities that are harder to find at the price, including:

  • A small 24-hour market
  • Onsite bar and lounge to relax

✅ 5. Comfort Inn & Suites Logan International Airport

Best for: Travelers on a strict budget

Also located in Revere, the Comfort Inn is likely the cheapest hotel on this list, with rooms starting at about $100 per night. Though this hotel does assess $20 nightly parking rates, many air travelers won’t have cars anyway, particularly given the 24/7 complimentary shuttle.

There are a couple of cons to getting these rooms for cheaper than any other Logan hotel on this list, though. First, the property is a little further away from the airport, at about 3.5 miles. This is not a huge deal, particularly with early morning or late-night flights, but otherwise, you may encounter some traffic trying to reach the departures terminal.

As expected, rooms here are a bit basic and no-frills. Some areas of this property need a refresh, but they are by no means dirty. In fact, you’re more likely to notice the smell of cleaning chemicals or agents around the hotel.

Like most Choice Hotel locations, though, the dated rooms are offset by:

  • Complimentary breakfast
  • Free wi-fi
  • Ergonomic workstations for those who need to get some work done

✅ 7. DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Logan Airport Chelsea

Best for: Thoughtful extras at affordable rates

The DoubleTree by Hilton in Chelsea is another solid option near Logan. Prices here are competitive, with rooms oftentimes available for about $130. And at this rate, it is hard to beat.

Let’s start with the pros.

Beyond being on the cheaper side, the DoubleTree is less than a 10-minute ride from the BOS departures terminal. It offers a complimentary shuttle and also happens to be conveniently located on Boston’s Blue Line, transporting guests downtown in short order.

There is also a fitness center with premium equipment, including a Peloton, for guests to use, along with free wireless internet access, free breakfast, and DoubleTree’s famous chocolate chip cookies at check-in (and sometimes check-out too).

We’ve also found rooms here to be clean, large, and with ample storage to support your stay. The bedding was comfortable too.

The only real cons to be aware of are $25 per day parking, potential train noise (it is a city, after all) and lack of walkable amenities.

Conclusion

Boston Logan International Airport has no shortage of offsite airport hotel options, though finding cheaper accommodations can be difficult. The properties we’ve mentioned here are a great start that do span different budgets.

From the Hyatt Regency to the Comfort Inn & Suites, these properties will ensure that your stay in Boston is as smooth as possible, no matter how long you’re in town for.
