HOW STRONG IS THIS CLAIM?

Good claim

Strong case — airlines usually pay these.

✓A delay over 3 hours meets the core requirement for compensation.
✓Weather was clear at both airports, removing the airline’s most common defence.

✓ WHY IT MAY QUALIFY

Arrival delay of 198 minutes, measured at the destination doors (Sturgeon; Germanwings C-452/13). Three hours or more pays the same as a cancellation.

Covered by EC261; the distance (1,407 km) sets the band: up to €250 per passenger.

☔ WEATHER AT THE TIME

Weather evidence is pulled from the airports’ own records when the claim is created — it’s what answers the airline’s “extraordinary circumstances” letter.

Weather can excuse compensation, never care: meals, hotel, and rebooking are owed regardless of cause.
